Weaving Community: A Fashion Show Fundraiser

One Thread Collective's fashion show fundraiser supports programs for Indigenous Wayuu women and their communities in Colombia. Handwoven pieces made by Wayuu women are modeled on the runway by Santa Barbara community leaders, and the evening also features art, music and live and silent auctions of original artwork and local experiences, with Catherine Remak of K-LITE emceeing the live auction.

General admission and VIP tickets include a buffet dinner from 6:15 pm and post-show desserts, plus Santa Barbara County wines from Babcock Winery. VIP guests start at 5:30 pm with a cocktail hour of hors d'oeuvres from Veggie Rescue produce prepared by Chef Peter Kraus, cocktails from California Cocktail Collective, and preferred ground-floor seating. Speakers include Executive Director Jackie Gilbert, Program Coordinator Paula Restrepo and Alexandria Piccinini of the Center for Radical Futures, and DJ Marina plays for dancing from 9 pm.
