Area Meeting: A Place for Creative Exchange
Artist talk and open critique
The Santa Barbara Arts Collaborative's monthly Area Meeting opens with keynote speakers Hannah Croshaw and Meiya Sidney, who talk about their current exhibition soft armor / cradled earth in the CAW's Olson Gallery, a show of writing, weaving and sculpture built around wisteria seed pods, paper and stones.
In the second half, selected artists bring physical work, from unfinished pieces and experiments to newly finished works, for an open, respectful critique led by facilitator Patrick Melroy, with feedback from the audience. Admission is $12; reserve a seat ahead.
